Tasty, quick, turnip and kale sauté
Peel and cook turnips (roots) as you prefer – boil, braise, bake
Sauté some garlic in a little bit of olive or sunflower oil (I like to use a wok, but any large frying or braising pan can work)
Turn heat to high, add about a cup of chicken stock (or vegetable stock if you’re a vegan)
Add Kale, turnips a little bit of fresh thyme and stir vigorously until Kale is soft (not reduced to slime) – about 2-3 minutes
This is an interesting recipe where none of the ingredients taste the same together as they do individually. Try it. I’m not a huge kale fan and tend to get bored with turnips, but this is a treat that’s worth repeating.
